AcdRS1 is the most recently developed RS, and in both E. coli and mammalian cells shows improved Acd encoding properties compared to the earlier developed RSs. In mammalian cells the AcdRS82 has slightly higher efficiency at higher Acd concentrations, while AcdRS1 (showing a UP50 near 18 microM) is more efficient at lower Acd concentrations
