The T252A mutation, shown earlier to cause "correctly" charged Leu-tRNALeu to be hydrolyzed, was added to lower the RS-directed incorporation of Leu instead of the ncAA. This RS, in the presence of dansylalanine, yielded hSOD(33) at ~1 mg/L with high fidelity confirmed by MS.
