RS/tRNA Additional Notes
This is a chimera of residues 1–149 of MbPylRS and residues 185–454 of MmPylRS. The four mutations it contains gained through PACE (Phage Assisted Continuous Evolution) are all in the N-terminal domain, the region involved with tRNA binding. Variants containing these PACE-derived mutations were shown to 9.7-fold increase in the expression of reporter proteins compared to the unmodified PylRSs.
